Greetings….

My site is under construction for the next three months as I change the format of my art.

I have been working in clay for 30 years and after ankle surgery several years ago starting playing with beads which led to working in wire and gemstones and all leading naturally to working in silver dust which has been turned into silver clay.  It is a necessity that I must get back to basic dirt in some form or another.

On my site in the next three months you will find “Faeriewear,” my work in jewelry made of silver wire and gemstones and “Silverwear,” my work in Silver Art Clay.

Silver Art Clay or PMC is .999 percent pure silver dust with added binders to make it work like clay.  Being used to working in a larger scale in porcelain clay it is a joy to lift a 50 gram bag of silver clay in comparison to a 50-pound box of porcelain clay and at age 64 you can understand my delight in this new medium.

I am continuing the sculptural porcelain paper clay kimonos and other one-of-a-kind pieces and invite you to visit the studio when you are in Brown County. I am going to try to have more faeries working in the studio this year to help this process of change.

Since this is the first year of major changes in my work and life, don’t be surprised if the process is slower than expected.

I am looking forward to presenting this new line of work.
